PAULO VINICIUS KOERICH BORGES
Welcome to my professional home page.
The main goal of this website is to present my professional background and experience.
I am an electronic engineer working as a Research Scientist in the Autonomous System Laboratory at CSIRO, located in Brisbane, Australia. My current research topic is visual-based robot tracking and localisation, as well as pedestrian detection (please see a few DEMOS). The topic of my Ph.D. was digital image/video processing, with strong focus on statistical signal processing methods. I am also interested in general signal processing, pattern recognition and stochastic processes applied to finance.
In parallel to my position in CSIRO, since February 2011 I have also been an Adjunct Lecturer at the School of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering at the University of Queensland, Australia.
